Our LaunchTHEM program for Minority Youth, teaching local middle and high school students the importance of making wise financial decisions to promote financial well-being over their lifetime and how entrepreneurship could play a great part in that. We hope to have sparked an interest to become not only financially responsible but successful business owners as well.
The LaunchTHEM Student Business Pitch Challenge helps to help support Minority Youth in business.
Congratulations to this year's LaunchTHEM Student Business Pitch winner Rachel Gayle! Rachel was awarded $1,000 in seed money with her business concept for "Uray's Enchanted Words," a tee shirt company to inspire African American Girls to have positive self-esteem while dealing with the lost of a love one. Rachel was inspired to create the company and concept in tribute of her mother Uray who lost her battle with cancer when Rachel was very young.
You will be able to support Rachel and her business on Etsy within the coming months.
